Flight attendant's death: Cops quiz in-laws'
New Delhi: Delhi Police on Monday said that they have questioned the parents of Mayank Singhvi, the husband of deceased air hostess Anissia Batra, adding that the questioning lasted for over three hours.
Sources said that as many as 23 questions were posed to the Mayank's parents, RS Singhvi and Sushma Singhvi, regarding the marital life of their son and daughter-in-law.
They added that the parents may be questioned again, if required.
Meanwhile, Delhi High Court on Monday granted interim protection from arrest to Singhvi's parents.
Justice Mukta Gupta also issued notice to the Delhi Police on a plea of the husband's parents seeking anticipatory bail and sought a status report in the matter.
The court listed the matter for further hearing on August 2, while granting interim protection to parents of Mayank Singhvi, who is in judicial custody in the death case of 39-year-old his wife till the next date of hearing.
A trial court had on July 20 refused to grant protection from arrest to Mayank's parents after the counsel for the woman's parents has submitted that the allegations against them were serious.
Anissia, who was working with a German airline, had allegedly jumped from the terrace of her house in Panchsheel Park in South Delhi on July 13 and Mayank had taken her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead.
