Five-hour traffic jam paralyses Sohna Road

GURUGRAM: Thousands of commuters who use Sohna road or National Highway-248 on Monday had a harrowing time, after a five-hour long traffic jam again exposed the traffic mismanagement in Gurugram.
The blockade started at 8.00 am and continued till 1.00 pm.
A sea of vehicles was seen crawling at one of the busiest roads of the city.
The change in school timings due to unhealthy air levels also resulted in school buses getting struck in the blockade.
There were reports of parents, who had come to drop their children to school, returning home after looking at the dismal traffic.
As the situation worsened, senior police officials reached the spot and control the situation. Not only common citizens, but VIP's too were hit by the traffic jam.
Sukhbeer Kataria, a prominent local politician's car was also held up.
