Five arrested for triple murder in Gr Noida

Greater Noida: The Gautam Budh Nagar police has arrested five men in connection with the murder of a woman and her children in Omicron 2 society of Greater Noida from Nahar Kothi bridge in Greater Noida on Monday night.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Manish (19) and Bittu Kasana (18), residents of Loni in Ghaziabad, Pravin Bhati (18), a resident of Sirsa Khanpur village in Kasna, Ankit Bhati (20), a resident of Dalelgarh village in Dankaur and Tarun Lohiya (18), a resident of Dabra village in Dadri. On July 20, police found the body of a woman identified as Manju Devi (30) with a severe head injury at her residence in Omicron 2 society. Later on July 22, they discovered the body of Krishna Kant (son) and Priyanka (daughter) in the Khetri canal of Dankaur of Greater Noida.

"The five accused were looking to flee the district. However, following a tip-off, they were arrested. During interrogation, the main accused Manish, who hatched a conspiracy with four of his friends to kill the entire family, revealed that he had a personal enmity with Krishna Kant as he had wrong intentions towards his sister," said Ajay Pal Sharma, senior superintendent of police (Gautam Budh Nagar).

Following which the two have had some fights in the past as well. Manish called four of his friends and hatched a conspiracy to kill the entire family.

"On the night of July 19, they secretly reached the terrace of the house of Manju Devi. They waited for the family to dine and sleep and then attacked them with rods and knives. They first killed Manju and Krishan Kant. However, when they realised that Priyanka is also present in the room, they also killed her fearing that she will reveal their names to the police," said Sharma.

The accused looted the house and fled. The police have recovered the stolen items and booked the five accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal code.
