FIR lodged in Noida land mafia murder

Noida: Following the murder of the land mafia kingpin, who was shot dead by unidentified bike-borne assailants in sector 49 of Noida on Monday, the Gautam Buddh Nagar police has registered an FIR against four named and two unnamed persons. According to police, the family members of deceased Moti Goyal have named Anil, Vikram, Vijay and Brijpal, suspecting their involvement in Goyal's murder.
"Based on the complaint received from the victim's family, we have registered an FIR against the accused persons under IPC sections 302 (punishment for murder), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), 120B (punishment for criminal conspiracy) and 34. Actions will be taken against them and investigations will be followed," said Shwetabh Pandey, circle officer-III, Noida. The police said that Goyal is suspected to have been murdered over a property dispute. Goyal had also registered complaints against these persons in the past. Family members said that they had received life threats earlier also as some land mafia wanted to occupy the land that he had worked hard to get it vacated.
"Prima facie investigations have showed that Goyal was murdered over property feud. It was also revealed that the victim had earlier registered complaints against these persons for attempt to murder and cheating," added Pandey.
