Family in shock after untimely death
New Delhi: Sunita, a caretaking mother and teacher wanted to excel in all aspects of her life. But the news of her sudden death not only shocked her family but also left her dreams shattered. Sunita, a government teacher, was shot dead by armed assailants in Bawana area on Monday. The family members of the deceased claimed that for several years she was teaching the students who were doing well.
"On Monday she was going to school for collecting an award as her students had done well in the study but now she is not with us," said one of the family members. According to police, the incident took place in just 25 minutes after she left the house. The relative further claimed that in the morning Sunita sent her children to school which is in Rohini district. "They are in shock after knowing that their mother who was with them in the morning is now no more," said the member. He further claimed that he regrets about the fact that they made the home in Bawana. Another relative Sonu claimed that she was very polite with everyone and they were shocked to know about her death.
Sunita's brother Anil Malik who was at the hospital in Rohini stated that she was preparing for the post of principal and also her dedication level was such that even being the mother, the teacher she was doing MA in English. "I remember the time when I used to teach her; she was a brilliant student of her class. During her school days, care was given to her by the family," said the brother who was totally broken after the death of his sister. Police suspect enmity might be the reason behind the murder.
The Delhi Police data claimed that enmity led to 19.29 per cent of murder in the National Capital in 2018.
