Employee of pvt company in Noida tests +ve
Noida: Over 700 employees of a private company in Noida have been kept in home isolation after an employee of the same company who had recently returned from foreign country was diagnosed with novel Coronavirus.
As per officials of district health department, the matter came to light around three days ago when a resident of Delhi who had been working as director with a leather goods manufacturing company situated in phase-II area of Noida was tested positive with novel Coronavirus.
Dr. Anurag Bhargava, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Gautam Buddh Nagar told Millennium Post that the man had recently travelled Italy and Switzerland for some official purpose. "Soon after returning from foreign, the man suffered from cough and cold. He underwent various tests and was diagnosed positive with Coronavirus in final reports. The man is presently in quarantine at Safdarjung hospital in Delhi," said Bhargav.
The officer further said that taking a precautionary measure, nearly 707 employees of the company have been put under isolation for next 14 days. "After receiving alert from Delhi hospital, all the employees of the company have been kept under isolation at their homes and are being monitored by district health department. We are constantly in touch with their families and keeping a surveillance of their situation. Meanwhile, the factory has now been shut and health officials are ensuring the entire factory was sanitised," the CMO added.
The officer also confirmed that there is nothing to
panic as none of the employee who has been tested so far was reported positive with Coronavirus.
"As of now there has not been any case of positive Coronavirus reported from Noida. We advice people to immediately consult a doctor in case of cough, cold, fever or feeling uneasiness while breathing. Also such a person and his/her family should go into
isolation at their home so that the virus do not affect other people in their vicinity," added Bhargav.
The district health department along with administration, police and other government organisations have been putting all possible efforts to prevent the deadly corona virus get affect people in the district. The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) also carried out an intensified cleanliness drive at all the metro rail and metro stations premises on Friday.
In Ghaziabad, two persons, a father and his son have been tested positive with corona virus and both have been kept at Safdarjung hospital in Delhi for quarantine.
