E-payment app to help Metro commuters to recharge cards

In good news for metro rail commuters, they can directly recharge their metro cards through Ola money app, both Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Ola Money on Wednesday announced their partnership towards promoting a cashless digital economy.

Additionally, the commuters can also avail the option to pay from their Ola Money wallet at DMRC website.

More than 70 percent of total Delhi metro riders use metro cards. With a significant portion of current DMRC customers also using Ola, the integration with Ola's e-wallet, Ola Money, is a major partnership.

Anuj Dayal, Executive Director (Corporate Communications), DMRC said, "We hope to make transition smoother for commuters by integrating Ola Money as a payment mechanism for metro rides. It is offering an eco-friendly, affordable and also encouraging people to use online payment alternatives."
