Duo robs woman at gunpoint, 1 held

New Delhi: The highway patrolling staff of South Delhi Police has arrested a robber who was involved in a robbery with a woman in Neb Sarai area on August 1.

Police said that on August 1 one Suman reported that when she was coming to her house from the market and reached near gate number 3 IGNOU at 7 PM.

Suddenly, two boys came on a black colour motorcycle and robbed her chain on gunpoint.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Parvinder Singh said that the woman raised alarm, which noticed by two police personnel of Neb Sarai, who was on Highway patrol duty.

"Both constables chased the robbers on their bike and finally succeeded in apprehending the robber," police said.

On enquiry accused revealed his name as Shahrryar a native of Baghpat in UP.
