DU spreads wings: Now, more exam centres in other states too

The University Of Delhi (DU) in order to spread its outreach and reach out to more students has added new cities to its existing list of examination centres.

The entrance test for the University's Post Graduate and Professional Under Graduate courses for the next academic session will now be held in Patna, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi and Chandigarh.

According to the Prime Minister's Digital India Programme the entire examination procudeure has been made online. However, DU Students' Union opposing the plan said, "The students who come from rural and marginal section of the society do not have the facility and knowledge of computers to appear for online tests."

In a meeting of the Examination Committee the decision was taken keeping in view the increasing number of aspirants.
