Dreaded extortionist of JOJO gang held
NEW DELHI: The Delhi police has arrested an extortionist for threatening a garment seller in Central Delhi's Prasad Nagar.
The accused Keshav Kakkar aged 28 has been identified as a hard core criminal. One country made pistol with two live cartridges has been recovered from his possession.
A man having a garments shop at Tank Road reported in the month of November 2018 that one Keshav Kakkar came to his shop and demanded Rs two lakh and extorted Rs 1.5 lakh at gunpoint.
He also threatened that he would come again to collect the remaining money. On December 11 last year, Keshav Kakkar again came to his shop and demanded remaining extortion amount of Rs 50,000 at gunpoint.
When the complainant showed his inability to pay this money, he was roughed up. The criminal was arrested on Wednesday.
Kakkar disclosed that he is an active member of JOJO gang and after JOJO getting behind the bars, Keshav Kakkar was running this
gang.
He always used to carry country-made pistol and those who did not fulfil his extortion demands, he beat them bitterly and also damaged their articles to create terror among
them.
