Deteriorating law & order is one of major problems in Delhi: CM

NEW DELHI: Deteriorating law and order is one of the major problems in Delhi which includes women safety, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday. He also asserted that the garbage problem is making the life of citizens hell.

"Three serious issues bothering people of Delhi right now : 1) Broad daylight murders - deteriorating law and order situation 2) Girls & women complaining of harassment in buses 3) Garbage piling up in parts of East Delhi," tweeted the Chief Minister.

CM's statement came after chief spokesperson of AAP Saurabh Bharadwaj slammed the Centre and Delhi LG Anil Baijal. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Monday slammed the Delhi Police and the NDA-ruled Centre alleging a "sudden spurt" in criminal cases in the national capital. Citing recent incidents of crime, including the killing of two men since Sunday, AAP spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj assailed the Delhi Police, saying it "does not even reply" to the questions asked in the Assembly. "@LtGovDelhi is patronizing DelhiPolice & its corruption. Police were at least answerable to Delhi people till 2015, but LG made it unaccountable to people. Delhi Police does NOT even reply to the crime questions asked by MLAs in Delhi Vidhansabha (sic)" he tweeted.

The opposition BJP and Congress slammed the statement by the CM after his reaction.
