Delhiites follow social distancing

NEW DELHI: People in Delhi are fighting Coronavirus by social distancing and staying at home. In metros, alternate seats were left vacant as an initiative to fight Coronavrius. The move also came after an advisory by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

"We work in a sector where work from home is not possible, so we can take maximum precaution," said Sadhna, who was on her way to work. People were not sitting together and even opted to stand rather than sitting with a person.

Metro stations were also sanitised and metros were cleaned after completion of its route. Meanwhile, people are seen educating their peers about distancing and how it is going to help them. "Quarantine is essential, so stay in your homes and help to curb this virus," said a social media influencer. Doctors have also advised people to follow the same and not come out of their house and stay in isolation.

"The best option right now is to stay at home and stay safe," said a local doctor in Dwarka. On the other hand, many people have taken to social media to explain what happened to them when they were found positive with Coronavirus. People who have been infected have taken to social media to explain the symptoms and what happens when one is diagnosed with it.

"On day one, it started with dry cough and a sore throat. On the second day, I felt a lot of pressure in my head. The same night I felt chills," said Bjonda Haliti, who claimed she was diagnosed with Coronavirus.

She added the next day her energy level was very low. "At this point, my symptoms were – dry cough, migraine, fever, chills, little bit of nausea," she added. On the fourth day, she said that she felt shortness of breath. "I went to the doctor after which I tested positive for Coronavirus," she said.

Like her many people took to social media and shared their experiences. India has seen a total of 223 confirmed cases, which includes 32 foreign nationals. Out of this number about 23 people have recovered.
