New Delhi: The Delhi Police has introduced two bilingual AI chatbots, Chunav Mitra and Cyber Sarthi, to enhance efficiency during the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections.

The launch, directed by Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, aims to provide seamless support to police personnel, including Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), on election duty.

Developed under the supervision of Joint Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar and Deputy Commissioner Ram Dulesh Meena, these chatbots are designed to simplify complex election protocols.

“This initiative showcases our commitment to leveraging technology for a smooth and transparent electoral process,” said Devesh Chandra Srivastava, Special Commissioner of Police and State Police Nodal Officer for the elections.

‘Chunav Mitra’ focuses on disseminating critical guidelines and instructions issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Delhi Police. It serves as an on-the-go resource for field officers, providing real-time access to election rules and directives.

On the other hand, ‘Cyber Sarthi’ emphasises cybersecurity, offering guidance to safeguard digital tools and platforms used during the elections.

The chatbots, accessible via a QR code and dedicated link, ensure swift and easy use for officers at all levels.

The AI-powered tools provide accurate, real-time responses, enabling personnel to access vital information instantly.

This proactive approach is part of Delhi Police’s broader mission to integrate AI-driven solutions into election management.
