Delhi Metro to launch consultancy services for infrastructural projects

New Delhi: In a bid to provide all services under a roof, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) intends to prepare a panel of Architect-cum-Consultants, who can provide consultancy services on every prospect related to architectural, interior, structural and other allied works.
According to an official, "The consultancy services will relate to overall architectural, interior, structural and other allied works such as fire fighting and fire alarm system, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical services, CCTV, substation, DG set and horticulture work."
Moreover, the panel will also render services related to obtaining local authorities' approvals and other clearances for its establishments such as buildings in depots, renovation of existing station, landscape works including MMI and residential buildings in Delhi NCR and any other location of works of DMRC, the official added.
He also added that consultants, if appointed, are required to provide comprehensive architectural services with respect to taking DMRC's instructions and preparation of design brief, site evaluation, analysis and impact of existing or proposed development on its immediate environment design and site development, structural design.
The panel of consultants will also be availed for planning, designing and execution of redeveloping of DMRC station buildings and all allied buildings if and when required, involving the approval for the same from the local authorities. "Services shall include but not limited to planning, designing, plans, section, elevations, reports, models or 3D views as and when necessary, coordination, supervising and execution of civil works, interior furnishing works, providing cost estimated, tender documents and specifications for the materials and assisting DMRC in finalising the contractor, preparation, submission and licensing for local body approval, if sought by the DMRC will be done hassle-free under this panel," said the official.
