Delhi CP apprises cops of measures to be taken during LS elections

New Delhi: The Commissioner of Police, Delhi, Amulya Patnaik, held a meeting with the senior and lower rank officers of Northern Range, in the DTU Auditorium, Sahabad Dairy on Friday. Special CP (Law and Order) North, Joint CP Northern Range also attended the meeting.

The meeting was held to brief the various precautions to be taken and efforts to be made for the general elections, crime prevention and various anti-terrorist measures.

According to police, emphasis was given on several points like impartial and professional conduct of all ranks of police personnel. Stringent action against musclemen to avoid interruption in the electioneering process; special focus on the security of rallies to be conducted by all political parties, were some of the key factors Amulya Patnaik stressed on.
