The Gurugram Police on Wednesday busted a sex racket that was being run at a spa centre in Mega Mall situated in the upmarket area of Golf- Course Road.
Four people including one male and three female have been arrested by the police.
The raid was conducted by DLF Phase-1 police station after there were repeated complaints of sex trade taking place in the commercial unit.
Police sources stated that more raids will be conducted across different commercial units in the days to come as the business of sex-trade is estimated to be running in around 10 spa centres across the city.
"We have deployed many officials to gather information on the sex trade that is occurring in the various parts of the city. Whenever we get information appropriate action will be taken by the authorities," said Anil Yadav ACP (DLF area).
Earlier the police had exposed the sex racket being operational in the spa centres in malls of Sohna road. Also, arrests have been made in relation to the same in illegal guesthouses functioning in the city.
"On a timely basis, the police cracks down on the sex racket those are mainly operational in spa centres and guesthouses. Citizen participation and police crackdown have resulted in most of the people involved in these trades being arrested. The citizens must also participate in mentioning police about such illegal acts to the police if they observe such happenings," said a senior cop of Gurugram police.
