Computer operator found dead at SDM office

A 26-year-old computer operator with the SDM office in South Delhi has allegedly committed suicide, police said on Monday.

Rahul Prasad was found hanging from a ceiling fan by a watchman at the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office, police added.

Further, a suicide note has also been found from the spot in which Prasad had claimed that he was solely responsible for the extreme step.

Prasad also added that he had claimed that he was not happy with the way his life had turned out and was feeling dejected of letting his family down.

Prasad had been missing since Saturday. On Monday, his family came to the office to enquire about him when he was found hanging, police added.

"Prasad worked as a computer operator and was posted at the SDM office two months ago.

A suicide note was recovered from his possession in which he held himself responsible for his death.

"He also wrote that he could not do better in his life," a senior police officer said.

Prasad was last seen on Saturday in the office, he said. "We have sent his body for post-mortem," the officer added. Prasad lived with his family in Chattarpur.
