The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is on its way to begin the auctions of co-branding rights of all the 21 stations located along the under-construction 29.7 km-long Aqua line that connects Noida with Greater Noida. The auction will be open to the private companies and will be valid for a period of five years, which will be extendable.
The names of the companies who will attain rights of co-branding will be announced in August. The corporation has invited expression of interest from companies to purchase naming rights.
The selected licensee will have the right to add its brand name to the name of the station. The licensee will also be granted advertisement rights at the station as well as advertisement space of 500 square metres at the station. The color scheme and a special theme for each station can also be determined by the licensee to go with its brands, said NMRC officials.
The co-branding concept of metro stations in not new as the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation overtook a similar branding in 2014.mpost
