LG inspects Rani Jhansi Road Grade Separator

After inspecting the progress in construction work of the grade separator at Rani Jhansi Road on Sunday, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal directed the Commissioner of North Delhi Municipal Corporation (North MCD) Praveen Kumar Gupta to ensure that there are no potholes in the city roads, so as to avoid water logging during the rainy season.

Baijal further instructed the Commissioner to make sure that the material used for construction of the grade separator should be of the prescribed standards.

Baijal directed all stakeholders to take action in a time-bound manner and work within strict timelines.

He also directed to complete the construction work on site by the end of October this year.

The senior officers assured Baijal of completing all remaining works by end of the October.

Moreover, officials of the Northern Railway, who were also present in the meeting, informed that Railway work will be completed by the middle of September this year in all respects.

Additionally, the chief executive officer of Delhi Jal Board informed Baijal that the work of shifting of a major pipe line and sewer will be completed on Monday.
Baijal directed the CEO to ensure that there is no leakage of water from the pipelines.

The LG said that he will again visit after one month to review progress of the project and ensure that this much needed project for decongestion of traffic in the area is completed by the end of October.
