Woman alleges gang-rape by 3 in car, from Ggn to GrNoida

Echoing the horror of the Jewar gang rape case that took place less than a month ago, a 35-year-old woman was abducted near Sahara Mall in Gurugram on Monday night and was allegedly gang-raped in a moving car by three men.

The accused thereafter drove the woman to Greater Noida and threw her in the city's suburbs after eight hours long ordeal, said police.
In her police complaint, the woman has alleged that the incident took place at around 8.30 pm on Monday when she was forcibly picked up by the three men in a Maruti Swift car from the streets of Gurugram's Sohna area.

Following this, they drove the car for around 90 kms and reached Greater Noida.

For nearly eight hours, the men took turns to rape her and fled away after throwing her near a private hospital in Greater Noida at around 4:00 am on Tuesday.

The woman, in an unconsciousness state, was lying on the street before she was spotted by a passerby.

The passerby alerted police and a team of police officers reached the spot and rescued the victim.

"Some beer bottles were also found from the spot which indicates that the accused persons were inebriated at the time," a senior police officer from Greater Noida.
The woman hails from Rajasthan's Bharatpur city and came to Sohna for work around 10-15 days ago.

She was living with her family in Sohna area but was pulled up from MG road into the car.

Love Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police of Gautam Buddh Nagar said, "The woman was taken for a medical examination at Yatharth hospital on early morning and has been taken back to Sohna by police after completion of legal formalities in Greater Noida. The woman has sustained some abrasions on her body and we are awaiting a final medical examination. The Gurugram and Greater Noida police are jointly investigating the case. We are also examining CCTV footage to identify the three suspects." Later in the evening, the woman was taken to Gurugram by the Gautam Buddh Nagar police where she recorded her statement at Sector 29 police station in the presence of a woman lawyer as per the legal norms.

Though the Haryana police said that they have launched an investigation into the incident but however they refused to register a FIR claiming it to be an incident reported in greater Noida.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated development, an unidentified person reportedly shot a video of sleeping cops in the PCR van, deployed by the expressway.

The two Noida policemen were snoring away in the PCR van and the video said that it was shot at around 7:30 am, few hours after the gang rape incident.

Soon after the video was sent to the senior police officials, SSP Kumar suspended the two policemen who were taking nap
during the duty hours.
