A woman from Sohna has alleged gang-rape and robbery of Rs 12 lakhs on Thursday. She has levelled allegations on the person who is the son of the ex-village head, said police.
The victim has claimed she was raped at a gunpoint and the accused along with his two friends had filmed the act to blackmail her.
The victim and her family also faced issues of delay during the complaint registration as there was confusion between the Sohna police station and the Nuh Police station as to under whose jurisdiction did the case lie.
The family alleged that there have been no arrests made in the case and all the accused are still at large. The complainants have voiced concern over the accused receiving death threats. The rape survivor and the family now plan to meet the Police Commissioner to share their grievance.
After the Manesar gang rape incident, this is the second one reported from the outskirts of Gurugram where the rape survivors have voiced the lack of police action in
sexual assault cases.
Last week, a minor hailing from Pataudi visited the Gurugram Police Commissioner to complain that she was gang raped and how she and her family were being pressurised by police officials to reach a settlement.
The rape survivor later stated that she will be forced to leave her village if justice is denied.
