36-year-old man shoots self dead over property dispute

A 36-year-old man shot himself dead with his pistol allegedly over property issues in Dwarka on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was immediately rushed to the hospital by his family but was declared brought dead by the doctors.

"We received a call at about 1 pm that the man has shot himself with a pistol.

It is known that the bullet pierced his chest on the left side.

"We have received the pistol, empty cartridge and lead have been recovered from the crime scene," a senior police officer said.

The deceased, Sumit Agrawal, was a resident of the Majestic Apartment, Sector 18A, Dwarka in South-West Delhi.

The man who was rushed to the hospital by his wife soon succumbed to his injuries.

The cops said that only his wife and children were present at the time of the incident.

An initial inquiry has revealed that the Sumit was depressed over some property loss. However, the police are now investigating further to figure out what was the
sudden provocation that made him take the extreme step.
