Two youth arrested for killing man who told them not to take drugs

Two persons were on Wednesday arrested from Outer Delhi for killing a 24-year-old man after he objected to the duo consuming drugs in a public toilet.

The accused were identified as Salman (24) and Sahil (23). Cops are now on looking for Zakir, another accused who is absconding.

According to police, on June 6, a PCR call was received at Nangloi police station informing them that a man, identified as Rahul, was viciously attacked with a sharp-edged weapon.

Rahul had been shifted to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital and was declared brought dead by the doctors.

"During enquiry, Rahul's Shyamlata said that Zakir, and his two associates, attacked Rahul. A case under sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code was then registered," police said.

Police said that the accused were arrested early Wednesday, based on a tip, from CRP camp in Sultanpur Majra area. The accused were found wearing blood-stained clothes.

During interrogation, the accused disclosed that on Tuesday Rahul and his mother had quarreled with them, after finding out that they were consuming drugs in a public toilet.

"She slapped the accused, after which they left the spot and harboured a grudge against Rahul and his mother," police said. The accused killed Rahul to avenge their humiliation.
