NCWEB has 12.2k seats for women aspirants

The women wishing to get admission in Delhi University can also apply through Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) which offers two undergraduate courses — BA Programme and BCom.

NCWEB, which started its admission process for undergraduate courses has gone fully online. NCWEB, which admits only female students from Delhi, has nearly 12,200 seats.

This allows thousands of young women to obtain an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in the varsity.

The first cutoff list will be released on June 24 and admissions under this will continue for the next three days after which a second cutoff will be released on July 1 and the last cut off will be released on July 18. A total of five cut-off lists will be released.


There are 25 DU colleges that function as teaching centers for NCWEB, including Hansraj College and Jesus and Mary College. The classes are held either on Saturdays or on Sundays and academic breaks of Delhi University. There are 50 teaching days in a year.

"NCWEB, which only offers two undergraduate courses, is preferred by students who want to pursue professional courses such as diploma while pursuing an undergraduate degree to become more employable by the end of three years," said an official at NCWEB.

The Non-Collegiate students are, however, not allowed to pursue any other full-time degree course.

Students have to submit their original certificates and the annual fee is approximate Rs 3,500 per year. No fee is charged from disabled students."Our classes take place on Sundays so that they can do career enhancement courses during weekdays," said official.
