Six-year-old trapped in car after auto lock goes off, dies

Auto locks in cars can be dangerous as a six-year-old who got accidentally locked inside a car, died in Sant Nagar area of Rani Bagh in North West Delhi.
The boy, Sonu, went missing at around 11 am on Monday and at around 4 pm he was found lying unconscious inside a car.
Sonu's family members along with their neighbopurs launched a search operation but after being unable to trace the kid, they approached the police.
Following this, the police started their search. Later in the afternoon, the owner of the vehicle found a boy lying inside his car.
He immediately informed the police by dialing 100.
Sonu was shifted to Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.
He had sustained burn injuries in his body owing to the heat.
The parents of the deceased boy are vendors.
"The car was parked in front of the house of deceased and the inquiry conducted shows that deceased Sonu entered the car accidentally and couldn't open it.
"He died due to suffocation and heat," said DCP North West Milind Dumbere.
The cops are investigating the incident that how the child got inside the car and if it is a case of negligence.
The boy died due to heat and suffocation, said doctors.
