Two men were arrested on Saturday after residents of Mongolpuri area complaint that an Aadhar Card operator is running a centre with 'all in one documentation', charging Rs 200 for the same and tried to login to Aadhar Enrollment system, bypassing the fingerprint authentication.
Deputy Director of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on Friday submitted a complaint to Delhi's outer district stating that the authority has been receiving complaints from residents of Mongolpuri that an operator was charging more money than the prescribed limits for making Aadhaar cards.
In the complaint, the operator has been identified as Saddam Hussein, a resident of the same area, is allegedly making Aadhar cards without documents.
Acting on the complaint, the Delhi Police constituted a team and deputed a constable disguised as a customer, along with another witness on Saturday with two notes of Rs 100 with its serial number noted.
"The constable told Hussein that he wants an Aadhar card. The two made it without asking for any documents," said the officer.
"The police then conducted a raid and recovered the two notes given by the constable among other material used in making the cards. The two were arrested," said the officer.
