Fearing high DU cut-offs, students look to other varsities

With the date of the first cut-off approaching fast, looking for options other than sought after Delhi University.

Some students say professional courses like BBA have more value in today's world than an honours course,though DU remains popular among the masses.

"While I will try for BMS, I am trying for Christ University's BBA since it is number one in India and provides an insight into the business world of Bengaluru" says Nimish Dua, who is taking no chances with DU's sky high cut-offs. The insurance sector has become a viable career path for youngsters,who interest has been piqued by actuarial sciences.

Tanushree Dutta says, "I am doing BCA from GGSIPU (Guru GobindSingh Indraprastha University). Pursuing Computer Science (Hons) from DU won't be beneficial."Some students, meanwhile, are minds over which university to choose. Srishti Sharma says "I want to go for BBA but my friends are going for B.Com in DU. Cut-offs will be high this time and I am worried."
