Golgappas craving proved costly for former BJP MLA Vijay Jolly as he was robbed of his valuables placed in the car while he and his friend stopped to have some golgappas at a famous South Delhi's eatery on Wednesday.
Jolly claimed that he was robbed of his laptop, camera and several important documents after the thieves broke open the window of his car.
Following this, Jolly chased the miscreants after initial local inquiry but failed to follow them owing to traffic.
He stated that the robbers fled away with his air tickets and some valuable documents related to BJP senior leaders.
"I chased them for some distance and I was very close to them but a bad traffic ended my chase. The thieves sped away on their bike," said Jolly.
The ex-BJP MLA was on his way to attend a retirement party along with a friend when he decided to stop for some golgappas in Ladoo Sarai.
Suddenly, noticed that his car window has been shattered. As he rushed to the spot, he found all his valuables missing.
Jolly then approached the police who registered a case of theft at Saket police station. The thieves are yet to be identified.
