With results declared and fears of high cut off refuse to assuage, Commerce students who had maths but have scored under 90 per cent are pinning their hopes on DU'S management course Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS).
BMS is one of the most sought after courses of Delhi University in which every year, thousands of students try their luck to acquire a seat.
Even Science stream students are looking forward to it. BMS along with Business-Economics (BE) and Bachelor of Financial Investment Analysis (BFIA) have also grown in value.
"I hope I ace the entrance after CBSE fixed me with a meagre 89 percent and dashing my Economics (Hons) hopes," an aspirant Akanshit Mishra said, adding that
"BMS will give me an edge in MBA and I hope to become a management professional despite being a science student".
"University changed everything at the last moment nonetheless, we now have more time to decide on the course and prepare accordingly and I am keeping English(Hons) as a side option in case I am unable to crack the entrance."
'I am fearing high cut-off in B.Com course. I am now bullish on my chances for BMS as I have been putting a great deal of effort for two months now and hope to ace the exam," says Nilesh Jha, another DU aspirant.
Bhumika Trivedi from Humanities stream said, "I had maths and will try for the much talked about BMS course. I just wish to know the procedure."
Many students flocked the university hoping to get doubts cleared about the course.
Colleges like Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies also known as College of BusinessStudies was the first one to start the BMS course in Delhi University (earlier known as Bachelor of Business Studies).
