Wanted robber from Pardi Gang held by Ggn police

The Gurugram Police's Crime Branch has been successful in getting hold of Jang Bahadur, a member of Pardi gang that has been conducting burglaries across the various parts of the city.

Bahadur and his accomplices at Hali Mandi area near Pataudi were held and weapons and sharp objects were recovered from them.

Along with major burglaries in the city, Bahadur was recently charged with committing a theft amounting to Rs one crore from the house of ex-Sarpanch in Gadoli village in the outskirts of Gurugram.

The accused has been conducting robberies for over 13 years. Besides burglary, Bahadur was also wanted for cases of murders and attempt to murder.

More than 15 cases are registered against Jang Bahadur and a reward amount of Rs 11,000 was placed on him by Madhya Pradesh Police. In 2013, Bahadur, who hailed from Guna village in MP, was arrested by police, however, he managed to escape.

For carrying out the robberies in the Millennium City, Bahadur used to get women and children from his native village to the city.

"We have started interrogating Jang Bahadur along with other members of his gang who have been arrested. In the recent burglary committed in the city, there was a lot of gold and silver involved that was robbed by them. Our first objective is to recover those stolen assets," said Sumit Kuhar DCP Crime, Gurugram.
