Man held for killing minor brother-in-law

21-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for killing his 11-year-old brother-in-law by luring him to a forest near Banthala Bheta road in Ghaziabad and bludgeoning him to death with a brick.
Investigators managed to recover the skeletal remains and clothes of the deceased, after which his identity was ascertained.

The incident occurred on May 20, when the complainant in the case Raju reported that his son had gone missing from their house in North East Delhi's Mandoli. Cops searched the entire district but found no clues.

During investigation, cops found that Prashant, the victim's brother-in-law, did not have a cordial relationship with his wife and in-laws. Police later picked him up for questioning when he was going to meet his advocate near Karkardooma court. During interrogation, Prashant confessed to the murder.

"Prashant married Raju's daughter in the month of July this year. From the day of their marriage, the couple started fighting each other.

On May 20, Prashant decided to kill the boy and lured him to a forest area in Ghaziabad after promising to play video games with him," said a senior police official privy to the investigation.
