Cops nab mastermind of Gangwal Gang

Busting a gang of hardened criminals, the Delhi Police on Thursday arrested the mastermind, Ravi Gangwal, and his associates' Sunny alias Arun and Nakul alias Rohit.
The South-East Delhi police comprising of Rohit Rajbir Singh, IPS (Under Training), SI Ashok Kumar, ASI Hari Singh, Const. Babu Lal was on a patrolling duty near Iskcon Temple when they spotted a white colored Scorpio car.
The car had three occupants. Lal then asked the people sitting inside the vehicle to come out of the vehicle.
However, the driver immediately started the vehicle and started driving towards Garhi Gaon.
The suspicious police team started chasing the Scorpio and after covering a distance of 100 yards, the cop vehicle overtook the Scorpio.
All the three people including the driver were forced to step out of the car.
One of them was Ravi Gangwal, a resident of Madangir, who took out a pistol and threatened the cops.
"Our constable Babu Lal acted promptly and snatched the pistol from Ravi Gangwal and remaining accused were overpowered by the police who were identified as Sunny and Nakul," said DCP South East Romil Baaniya.
The cops recovered a Turkish pistol and eight live cartridges along with two button knives from their possession.
The accused Ravi (30) already has 10 criminal cases registered under his name in Ambedkar Nagar police station which includes murder and attempts to murder.
He operates a gang of criminals under the name 'Gangwal Gang'.
