Accused honey-trapped many other powerful politicians

Following the KC Patel extortion case, on Wednesday the investigation revealed that the arrested woman has a long history of filing molestation and rape charges against several parliamentarians.

Police stated that earlier, the woman had filed a molestation case at the in Safdarjung Enclave police station against Harak Singh Rawat, a minister in Uttarakhand in 2014.

Again, in 2016 she had filed a rape complaint against Haryana MP which she later withdrew in court.

The cops stated that parliamentarian KC Patel was the latest prey on record.

On Wednesday, the police raided the rented accommodation of the woman in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad and confiscated incriminating material.

The woman who is in police custody for five days was also taken along.

"We have seized videos, CDs, pen drives and some incriminating material from her residence. Our team is examining the material seized and also verifying if she has trapped any other person with the same modus operandi," said Special CP Mukesh Kumar Meena.

Also, the cops identified some people based on her call records and also questioned them.

Police suspect that many more people might be involved in the alleged extortion racket which sets traps for high-end people and parliamentarians in rape or molestation charges.

"We are also examining her law degree and her call records. We have questioned more than a dozen people," said a senior police officer.

The woman was arrested on charges of extortion and prevention of corruption act.

The MP has alleged that the lady honey-trapped him and later filmed him in anobjectionable positions.

Following this, she demanded Rs 5 crore refrain her from making the video viral. Later, she was later produced in court and remanded to police custody for five days.

She was arrested by Delhi police on Monday following Gujarat's Valsad MP K C Patel lodging a complaint in which he claimed that he was filmed in objectionable conditions after having soft drinks laced with sedatives.

The complaint was lodged in North Avenue police station. The woman too has alleged that she was raped on several occasions by BJP MP KC Patel.
