Criminals involved in 30 cases arrested
NEW DELHI: Delhi Police has arrested two notorious armed auto lifters-cum-snatchers and BC's of Sagar Pur police station identified as Abhishek, age 24 years and Rohan, aged 22 years.
With their arrest one loaded country-made pistol along with three extra live cartridges, three stolen motorcycles and two snatched mobile phones were also recovered from their possession.
Acting on the tip of the team was deployed near the expected place of arrival that is Mangla Puri Bus Stand, Palam Village, New Delhi. After some time as per secret information two suspects were spotted riding on a stolen motorcycle and were asked to stop for checking, but instead of following the directions of police team, they tried to sped away from the spot.
The team immediately swung into action and nabbed the accused persons Abhishek and Rohan both residents of Sagar Pur. During the cursory frisking of accused Abhishek one loaded country-made pistol and one extra live cartridge and from the possession of accused Rohan alias Golu two live cartridges were recovered. The duo were involved in more than 30 cases of snatching robbery and car theft. "During sustained interrogation both the accused persons disclosed that they used to target parking lots for vehicle thefts and commit a crime, equipped with arms to evade arrest," said DCP South West Deevender Arya.
