Crime Branch to write to DPCC over disposal of explosives

New Delhi: The Crime Branch of Delhi Police will be writing to the Delhi Pollution Control Board (DPCC) for the disposal of explosives which they found from a godown of the accused involved in Bawana factory fire case in which 17 persons including women were killed.
Police sources told Millennium Post that earlier Crime Branch had written to Controller of Explosives in Faridabad who checked the spot and items found in the godown and all of them were found to be explosives.
"They told police to disposed of the explosives after which they will write of pollution control board who will suggest the place for the disposal," police sources added.
The team of Crime Branch led by ACP Anil Dureja, Inspector Rajiv Ranjan is continuously monitoring the probe and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Joy Tirkey himself is keeping a tab on every detail of the case.
The Crime Branch has questioned several people suspected to have supplied explosives to the owners of the factory in Rohini's Bawana, where 17 persons died after a fire broke out on January 20.
Police sources further informed that to make the investigation stronger crime branch questioned the other factory owners who claimed that they have seen the factory a few months ago but they were unaware about any explosives being packed inside the building. The reason behind the fire was still uncertain.
Sources claimed the reason behind the questioning was to verify the accused claims.

Police said that after finding out a godown in Bawana, no new godowns have been found in Delhi so far.
