The Crime Branch has unearthed an interstate racket involving sale and purchase of illegal weapons with an arrest of two criminals.
They are History Sheeters of Delhi Police and were also involved in many cases including murder, MCOCA, theft and Arms Act.
The arrested, Bhisham alias Chintu is a parole jumper in a murder case and an active gang member of Hitender Rawat Gang and while another accused, Parwinder alias Balwinder is an externee ordered Delhi Out for one year.
During interrogation, Bhisham a resident of Sita Ram Bazar in Delhi disclosed that he was working with Ex Counselor Ashok Jain and in MCD as a sweeper.
In order to become a rich man, Bhisham took supari from Ashok Jain and with his associates killed Vijay Singh Yadav who had some enmity with Jain.
In this connection, he was arrested from Haus Kazi. Again, he was nabbed because of his involvement in a murder case of Dehradun. The third time he for arrested in a MCOCA case of Central Distt. He is a History Sheeter of Hauz Kazi and remained in jail for 10 years in a murder case. Following this, he met his jail friend Parwinder alias Balwinder and started the business of sale and purchase of illegal arms and ammunition. Both purchased illegal weapons from Meerut and Muzaffarnagar, UP.
"We have recovered three country-made sophisticated pistols and three desi kattas from the accused. Twelve live rounds have also been recovered from them. We are interrogating them to find out their involvement in more such cases." said Praveer Ranjan, Joint CP Crime.
The cops stated that their arrest might soon lead them to a wider network of men involved in the illegal trade of weapons.
