Couple killed in road accident

New Delhi: A husband-wife died after they allegedly met with road accident in South East Delhi's Nehru Place flyover.

According to police on October 27 at 06.19 am a PCR call was received regarding the road accident and death at Nehru Place Flyover in Kalkaji.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Chinmoy Biswal said that at the spot, one male and one female along with damaged scooty were found with serious head injuries. Without wasting any time they were rushed to AIIMS Trauma Center. They were declared brought dead

He further added that later deceased were identified as Tarun Kumar Bhardwaj (27) and his wife Riya Sharma (20). In this regard, a case under sections 279 and 304A of IPC was registered at Kalkaji police station.

Postmortem of both deceased are got conducted at AIIMS Trauma Center and bodies handed over to their relative. Search of the offending vehicle is going on.
