Couple found hanging in Uttam Nagar

New Delhi: A couple was found hanging at their rented accommodation in Uttam Nagar area of Dwarka on Tuesday. Police claimed that they are investigating the case from all angles and questioning is going on in this regard as no suicide note was recovered from the spot.

According to the police, they got a PCR call in the afternoon on Tuesday evening where the caller claimed that two persons had committed suicide. The police team reached the spot and found the couple hanging from the ceiling fan. They were taken to hospital where the doctors declared them brought dead. The deceased were identified as Neeraj (24) and Sunita (23). They were married in 2017 and had no children. "The relatives had broken the door of the house and found them hanging," said the senior police officer.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Santosh Kumar Meena stated that they have not got any suicide note from the spot. "From the investigation, we found that the couple had often fought on the issues related to the household. On Monday also, they had some dispute. We are probing the case from all angles to know the exact reason behind the incident," said Meena.
