Constables go in drain to catch two criminals

NEW DELHI: It requires more than just courage to chase armed criminals and even follow them in a dirty black drain. Two police constables fought two criminals in the drain where the accused tried to dive and save themselves after they snatched the mobile and money from a truck driver in Swaroop Nagar area of North-West Delhi on Wednesday. The constables chased the criminals and one of them tried to push the constable in the drain. However, the chased the two criminals leaving them no room to escape.

In the scuffle, the criminals also injured the two constables Pawan and Rattan. Though the criminals were armed, the constables did not give up and the cops and the snatchers were seen involved in a scuffle in the drain. Later, they were able to arrest the two accused, one of them identified as Sajid.
