Colony built in Aravallis in Faridabad illegal, rules SC

Gurugram: In its judgement delivered on Tuesday, the Supreme Court has ordered that Kant Enclave, a colony that was built in the green belt of Aravallis is illegal. It has also ordered that all the residential units that have come up in the area should be cleared and has provided a deadline till December 21, 2018. Taking cognisance of the fact that a large number of people have invested in the colony, the Supreme Court that said they will be paid the entire amount with an interest of 18 per cent. Mentioning in its judgement that irreparable damage has been caused to Aravallis over the years, the promoters of Kant Enclave have also been directed to pay Rs five crores to Aravallis foundation.
