Close aide of gangster Anil Dujana arrested in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad Police on late Saturday night arrested a member of the Anil Dujana gang, carrying a bounty of Rs 25,000, from under the Hindon Canal Flyover on NH- 24 of Khoda area.

According to police, the accused has been identified as Arun Kumar, a close aide of Dujana, who had been absconding from the past three years in the case of murder of a policeman.

Cops nabbed Kumar following a tip-off that he would come to Khoda for some work.

"A police team was sent to Khora and laid a trap to nab him. He was arrested, and a 9 mm pistol and thre live cartridges were recovered from his possession," said Akash Tomar, Superintendent Of Police (City), Ghaziabad.

Tomar further said that in 2013, Kumar had shot dead one Narendra Sharma in a property dispute, a case in which Anil Dujana was also as an accused.

In 2017, Sharma's brother Kuldeep was being pressurised by Dujana's henchmen not to testify against him.

On his refusal, Dujana decided to bump Kuldeep off too and had sent his men to kill him. But after failing to locate him, the men fired on his father Rajkumar and a police constable, deployed for his security, both of whom were killed.
