CISF's training management system bags 'best IT project of 2019' award from NCRB

New Delhi: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) won the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) trophy for "Empowering Police with Information Technology" for its inhouse software application- Training Management System (TMS), later, which has been adjudged as the Best IT Project of the year 2019. According the official at the CISF, "CISF participated in the Computer Awareness Competition conducted by NCRB in order to encourage development of in-house police applications. Over there, the live demo and presentation of the software system was given to the award committee at NCRB Headquarters, New Delhi." The Award will be handed over to CISF during the closing ceremony of All India Police Duty Meet (IPDM) at Lucknow on July 20, 2019.

The official also informed that the updated software will integrate PIS automatically and will commence functions from allotment of vacanies to publication of course or training results of the force men. He also added that the training management software was developed inhouse with an aim to digitalise the training and course related activities.
