CISF's new control room to boost surveillance at 94 metro stations

New Delhi: CISF set up a new modern control room to put an additional layer of security through electronic surveillance over the 94 metro stations, which will be known as new Operational Control Centre-I. Meanwhile, new helpline number and training block-"Kavach" for CISF unit DMRC at Shastri Park, New Delhi was inaugurated by Rajesh Ranjan, Director General, on Friday.

"This new modern control room will monitor 94 stations out of 206 stations of Yellow, Red, Pink and Magenta Line through more than 5,300 CCTV cameras. Operational Control Centres (OCCs) of CISF will function in close coordination for ensuring hassle free, safe and secure environment for metro operations and large number of commuters using the Delhi Metro facility. Moreover, the security agency has also launched a new help line No. 155655 and old helpline number 22185555 will be discontinued, said the
