Chief Minister Khattar meets Ggn industrialists day after Janta durbar

Gurugram: Chief Minister ML Khattar on Monday met the industrialists and entrepreneurs of Gurugram after a day he met angry residents who had whole list of complaints for the head of the state.
Taking cognisance of the fact that the Janta durbar on Sunday led to most of the complainants expressing their anger openly, the district administration played safe and restricted the entry of media. This did not prevent the owners of the industrial units and start-ups however to come out in large numbers and address their grievances.
Besides the challenges faced due to recent steps like demonetisation and GST, large number of issues like deficient infrastructure, rising costs for development and presence of inspector raj were some of the core issues discussed.
At the end of the two-hour long meeting, CM Khattar assured the entrepreneurs and industrialists that the outstanding issues will be solved.
He also affirmed that there will be regular monitoring by the district public officials of the challenges faced by industries and business houses in the city.
"We have had a fruitful discussion. There were certain issues that have been solved there and then and some that I have told my officials to solve at the earliest," said the Chief Minister.
Beside the real estate development, Gurugram also witnessed the growth of large number of auto-ancillary, information technology and garment export units. Of late the crisis being faced by these units in the city has forced most of the owners to look into other places for better growth prospects.
"The situation of most of the garment export houses is in dire straits. The margin of profits for most of the units has reduced to over 40 per cent leading to massive job losses," said Satyendar Singh owner of one of the export houses.
