'Centre's Bill for unauthorised colonies due to CM's pressure'
New Delhi: The Centre was "under pressure" to bring a Bill to regularise unauthorised colonies of Delhi in the Winter Session of the Parliament due to the continuous demands of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday claimed.
Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, "On November 2, 2015, the Arvind Kejriwal government had passed a proposal to regularise the unauthorised colonies of Delhi and sent it to the Centre. The Centre sat on the file for the last five years. Before the winter session of the Parliament, the Aam Aadmi Party exposed the lies of BJP regarding the online
registration for the residents of unauthorised colonies as this was a fraud. We did dharna at the Gandhi statue after the session started and demanded for an ordinance. Finally, the Central government has
come up with the bill to regularise the unauthorised colonies. We want an immediate ordinance on this matter and the registry should start immediately."
