NEW DELHI: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday slammed Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal for making high-level committee without discussing it with the Delhi government. Delhi Home Minister Satyendar Jain will write a letter to LG over the issue on Thursday.
"The way the LG has formed a committee is unconstitutional and we will write to him regarding our views," said Sisodia.
The Deputy CM also attacked Delhi Pradesh Congress, whose president Ajay Maken had called the CCTV project "a scam."
Meanwhile, the Congress leaders challenged the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government that if it does not disclose the name of the private company with which the public sector company has a tie-up for the installation of the CCTV cameras in Delhi within 24 hours, then Congress will expose the name of the private company the AAP government was trying to favour.
"The AAP government did not go to the EFC and the Cabinet because the tender was brought with restricted norms as these norms could keep away the other interested bidders," said Congress leader Arvinder Singh Lovely.
He added that if the AAP government comes out with clean hands through the CBI in the CCTV camera scam, Congress will apologise, otherwise AAP must publicly apologise to the people of Delhi for misleading and misguiding them and resign then from government.
