Carpenter found dead in Aya Nagar

NEW DELHI: A 26-year-old carpenter, Krishna, was found dead with severe head injuries in a vacant plot in south Delhi’s Aya Nagar area on Monday. Police were alerted via a PCR call to Fatehpur Beri police station around 9 am and arrived to

find the body.

A brick, believed to be the weapon used in the crime, was recovered nearby. Krishna, originally from Madhubani, Bihar, had moved to Delhi two months ago to work as a carpenter with two acquaintances from his hometown. According to his co-workers, Krishna had left their shared accommodation on Sunday evening, intending to return shortly, but he did not. His body was discovered the following morning.

The police have yet to determine the motive behind the killing, though they are exploring various possibilities, including personal enmity or workplace disputes. The brick found at the scene has been sent for forensic analysis. Krishna’s family in Madhubani has been notified, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. The investigation is ongoing.
