Car collides with divider; two killed

Greater Noida: Two persons died while three other got critically injured after a car they were travelling in collided with the divider and over turned near Alpha-1 sector in Greater Noida, late on Sunday midnight, said police.
The incident took place at around 12:30am near Kailash hospital. A total of five men were travelling in the car which was moving towards Pari Chowk.
According to police, all the five occupants of the car were friends. The two deceased were identified as 35-years-old Rajesh Kushwaha and 40-years-old Amar Singh. Among the injured were Pramod Kumar (35), Lokesh Sharma (33) and Kuldeep (28).
The passersby informed police about the incident and started rescuing the victims. Police had to use gas cutters to bring out the body of one of the five victims from the mangled car. Some people alleged that the police delayed in providing the help and getting the gas cutter.
"If the cutter was brought on time, the life of one person could have been saved" said a passerby who helped in rescuing the victims.
One of the two deceased died while taking to the hospital.
"It is possible that the car was driven at a high speed. Lokesh was driving the car who is receiving treatment at the hospital. We have questioned the driver who told us that he lost his control over the car while trying to save a man who was crossing the road" said a senior police official.
"We have registered a case in relevance to the incident. The dead bodies have been sent for the post mortem and we have launched a probe into the matter" the officer added.
