Cab driver shot dead by unknown gunmen in Ggn

A 27-year-old cab driver was shot dead in Gurugram on Tuesday night.

The deceased, Rahul Maan was going back home when he was shot thrice by the gunmen in Palam Vihar at around 11.00 pm.

"Rahul, a resident of Narela, Delhi died because of serious bullet injuries in his chest," said police sources.

Rahul's father, Suresh Chand lodged a FIR at the Palam Vihar Police.

Station Head Officer of Palam Vihar Area Sandeep Kumar stated that a special team has been formed to investigate the case.

The SHO stated: "Currently, the killing seems to be a case of personal rivalry than an act committed by criminal gangs functioning in the city."

Earlier too, shootout incident has been recorded at Palam Vihar when a 25-year-old man was gunned down by criminal gangs.

"There have been certain incidents of burglaries and shootouts in this area.

Criminal gangs from bordering villages of Delhi and Haryana often commit these crimes.

"The cops have increased its patrolling and is making sure that there is no further brazen criminal act is reported in the area," said a senior police officer.
