Builder held over a fraud of Rs 5 cr in Greater Noida

Greater Noida: The Gautam Budh Nagar police has arrested two men, a Ghaziabad-based developer and his accomplice, for threatening another developer over Rs 5 crore property dispute. They were arrested from the Crossing Republic area of Ghaziabad on Wednesday.
According to police, Ravindra Sharma, in his complaint said that he had worked for Manoj Goyal in the Ansal API residential project in Dundahera area of Ghaziabad in 2016 but Goyal refused to pay an outstanding of Rs 5 crore to him. Instead, he threatened him with dire consequences from some hired goons.
Based on the complaint filed by Sharma, police registered an FIR against the hired criminal, Vijay Nagar, under IPC sections 386 and 120b.
The police arrested Vijay Nagar, a criminal known to Manoj Goyal, who threatened Sharma to remain quiet or else they will kill him. Upon interrogating Nagar, the police came to know that he worked for Goyal and launched a probe to arrest Goyal and his other accomplice.
"Acting on a tip-off, the arrest was made on Wednesday morning from a flat in Crossing Republic Society where Goyal was hiding. Shahrukh Hussain, another of Goyal's accomplice, was also arrested from the same location. Both the accused have been sent to jail after producing before the court," said Rajpal Singh Tomar, SHO, Ecotech-III police station, Greater Noida.
